Mum's and bubs art day take two...

Today was our mums and bubs art day. Man we all had so much fun (the mums more then the kids I reckon..)... Anyway, here is a couple of pics from it.

Creative every day...

So I have signed up to a blog that is about being 'creative every day'. Check out their page if you wish at: http://creativeeveryday.com/ I thought I would do this to coincide with my PROJECT 365: taking a photo a day. It would support me in doing it every day so I do not miss out on taking my photos. Today I played around with the bubbles in my kitchen sink while I was washing up. Lucky we have a waterproof digital camera, as it went straight in amongst the bubbles... I had lots of fun. I actually got distracted by it that I ended up getting side-tracked and didn't do the dishes until a while after. What a fun day!

The theme for this month's creative every day month challenge is 'life'. This is really appropriate for me at the moment as I am enjoying taking photos of things in and around in my life. Whether it be my daughter Marlee or some cool pattern I like or the food I am eating.

Updating my PROJECT 365 FINALLY!

So it is now past midnight.

Marlee is asleep. Chewy is reading. I am on the computer updating my PROJECT 365-FINALLY!

I have been putting it off and now I just have to get in and do it! It feels so great to be getting it done and up to date. I have a deadline to have it done by next sunday. Good times! Here are some of my recent photos I have taken. Not in any particular order either!

Project 365: Day 147

Day 147

Well tonight Chewy, Marlee and I went to the 'Between Spaces' exhibition at the Redcliffe Gallery (Artstart group) and was amazed at the artwork there! I was so bummed that I forgot my camera to take pictures, I will have to go back. That was going to be my photo of the day and since I didn’t get any I thought what have I not taken pictures of? So I opened the fridge and started snapping away...

Pumpkin everywhere

Tonight I was feeding Marlee pumpkin for the second time (last night I fed it to her with Farex baby cereal) but tonight it was just plain pumpkin. Oh my god, she got it everywhere! I pureed it in my new fancy schmancy multi food processor. It is AWESOME! It even has a blender on the top too so I can make thick shakes etc, very cool!

Marlee didn't care it was everywhere, she just carried on being her same old happy self. It was all good and so cute to see!

Oh and by the way, she is sitting up by herself now like a big kid! We are so proud of her and how good she is at it now. It only took her a few days of sitting up (and usually falling over after a little bit) to being able to sit up by herself. It was as if she just woke up one day knowing how to do it, very cool!

Other then that Chewy put together his robe and my chest of drawers for our bedroom. We also got our new COMFY bed the other day too which is awesome.

OH OH OH andddddddddddddd we got a surprise visit (which I knew about and Chewy didn't) from Mon and JR on thursday night. They stayed friday night too which was cool. We got to hang out and they got to meet Moo. They think she is pretty cute.... It was great to see them while they are back from overseas for a bit. They go to Asia soon for a holiday too again. Exciting stuff!

Well I am off now to update my project 365 and photo book etc.

Mothers day tomorrow...

Well tomorrow is my first proper mothers day and it is going to be so awesome and special! I can't wait to spend it with Marlee Moo and Chewy when he gets home from work. I might even go see him while he is working up near Woodford etc when we take Sooty to Stace and Broc's house..

I can't wait to get cool cards later on from Marlee when she makes them at school etc, gonna be so cool! Well I thought I would do a quick post anyway since I am going to make it a habit to do it at least once a week I think from now on.

That reminds me, I have to get in touch with Belinda or whoever about assisting again. It starts on Wednesday. It will be great and I am looking forward to it!

New home: New beginnings :)

Well we have moved and are in our new abode. It is WONDERFUL!! I love it! The house is so much fresher and nicer inside and it feels like I am in a holiday home in a way as the kitchen is brand new (done up) and the walls throughout have been painted. OH, and I have a BATHTUB now! YAHOO!

The other day I was having a long, rough day and when I got home Chewy told me he was going to run me a bath. He is a godsend that boy! He ran it with bubbles in it, candles lit, lights off and incense burning! Marlee was asleep and I was allowed to chill out finally in our nice bath! It was the best end to an intense day!

Well, even though our new house is not bigger then our old one really I am so glad we have moved. It feels great to declutter it and minimize our belongings. Who needs lots of stuff anyway!?

Well I am going to go now (mainly because I am busting for the loo!) and I am going to go start cooking dinner as Marlee is asleep. Oh and Marlee loves scooting around her new house in her walker, she runs around everywhere!

Ooops, gotta go!

It must be love :) Day 115: 25.04.2010

Well today is Chewy's and my 4th year anniversary together. Wow, time flies when you are having so much fun! It has been the best! I can't believe how lucky I am to have him in my life and I am so happy to have created having such a wonderful and loving relationship with him!

This morning we got up early for the dawn service down at the Redcliffe Jetty. Man it was so beautiful at that time of the morning. I am sure Marlee was pretty spun out with all the people standing around. She would have been thinking what the hell is going on here!?

We had a great day together with friends and family. We had Cookie, Charlie, Jorja, Fergs and Claire over for lunch. It was great!

Tonight after I had a shower I was about to put my face cream on after squirting it out and a heart shape was left on my hand in cream. I thought this was pretty cool. So here is a pic for all to see.

Again??????

So this morning I am up early again as my bladder woke me up needing to pee AGAIN! haha. No, really it did and so did Chewy on his way to work super early. I wonder how his head is going after his drinking at Cookes and Charlie's last night!?

We went around and had dinner with Cookes, Charlie, Allison and Blurta and it was SO YUMM!!! We had roast chook with vegies and garlic bread! Best dinner I have had in ages!

Marlee moo didn't want to roll with sleeping so was up til nearly 11pm fighting her tiredness until I finally said we are going home as she is tired and needs to sleep, plus I was buggered too of course!

Well I think I have finally convinced Chewy of paying for a cleaner to do our house when we move out for the rental bond clean. YAHOO! I can't think of a more annoying thing to do while packing, moving, unpacking- all while looking after Marlee and doing other stuff too.... just not gonna happen. Plus real estates are so bloody annoying as I have heard lots of people say to pay for professionals as if its not right they just get to come back and fix it and we don't have to pay for it out of our bond if its not done properly when we do it! YAY!

I have to get a carpet cleaner booked also, so when I decide on which cleaner I will go with I will then book it all and sort it out. How exciting!

It is now less than 2 weeks until we move and I am pretty excited. I drove past our new place again yesterday checking it out. The owner hasn't put up the security screens that he was meant to be doing (that were leaned up against the wall when we inspected it) so I am hoping he will be doing that! Other then that the house (as I can kinda remember) is going to be great. The entertaining area should be great, the shops are close by too which is awesome and the yard is pretty small so we don't have to worry about mowing and maintenance too much which is cool.

What else is new? Got to spend time with the girls last night and lie on the bed chatting about random stuff. Not long now until Marlee moo starts eating solids. I will steam some chunks of vegies to chomp on and eat when she is starting to eat. She practically nearly throws herself at our food trying to get it when we eat now. It is hilarious, oh the hilarity!(personal joke with Chewy).

Well I am gonna go now back to bed. I am super tired and it is getting cooler in the mornings so snuggling in winter with Marlee and Chewy is definately on the agenda.. hehe.

Marlee moo wakes up full of smiles. She was blowing raspberries, talking and chomping on her fingers all at once too yesterday morning. She woke up with one of her legs out of her jumpsuit, dunno how the hell she did that, haha. Clever kid!

Aunty Charlie made her a bed out of a washing basket, pillow and towel. We gave her a wooden spoon to chew on, then she got another one also and it looked like a row boat, haha. We thought it was funny! :)

My little project of ripping up my thoughts and chucking them out!!!

Well the other day (while packing) I came across some of my old diaries that I had written in. I thought instead of just chucking them out that I would rip them up, put them in a bucket of water and let the paper disintegrate. So there I was standing at the sink for about half an hour or something, ripping up my diaries and putting the words into the bucket of water.

I decided to take a pic (or lots) and see how it goes. Chewy reckons the photos I took under the water in the bucket looked great. Since I left the bucket on the sink I thought yesterday I had better get rid of this little project and throw it out. Anyway, he thinks I should have kept it as he thought it was a cool idea.

Anyway, so I took some more pics of it to see the difference and I quite like some of them. It was a way for me to declutter these thoughts and get rid of them once they were out on the paper. So now they are destroyed and gone. It feels GREAT too!

I am still yet to find one or two of my old diaries and I will do this with them also. I might leave it in the bucket of water longer too to see what happens...

5:13am wake up call (needing to pee)

Well I haven't blogged on here in a fair while I must say. This morning I woke up at like 5.13am (busting for a pee) and after waiting in the line up for the toilet as Chewy was on there already, I had a pee and felt much better. Then I went and made Chewy a cuppa for the road on his way to work. After a brief morning cuddle and goodbye, I came on the computer to check my emails etc.

Now I am listening to the sounds of Marlee being awake and blowing raspberries. Who said you can't blow raspberries when you first wake up at 5.48am in the morning?!!! ha ha. She is still ridiculously cute and I love her so much!

Not last night, the night before she giggled again for the first time since a couple of weeks ago. She laughs at the craziest things! I was doing some like scary devil/monster noise to her and she thought it was hilarious! Chewy and I were nearly peeing ourselves laughing hearing it! She makes me smile so much, I never thought I would say this but I nearly cried with joy hearing it and seeing her little face light up like that. It was the coolest thing EVER yet I reckon.

At the moment Chewy is working long days for 11 days on and 2 days off at work. He reckons its the most work they have done in a while and being flat out all day. He is feeling it in his body he said! I told him he is just old now and can't hack it, ha ha.

Well Marlee is nearly 5 months old (on the 23rd she will be). We got accepted for a rental place in Margate and we get the keys on the 30th of April which is definitely exciting! I am eagerly packing our stuff getting ready for the big move!

Well I must go now as I think Marlee is getting restless. Here is an up to date picture of Marlee Moo. She is growing up ridiculously fast! She loves being in her walker heaps now and scoots around the house looking in cupboards and on the fridge at pictures etc... it is awesome.

Mum's and bubs art day... so much fun!

Well yesterday we had our first mums and bubs art day... it was so much fun! We were all there except Emma and Koops who unfortunately couldn't make it, next time they have to come as we missed them!

Well there was paint and babies everywhere, canvases being filled with lots of bright colours and then at the end lots of dirty baby wipes. We all had so much fun! Natalie didn't bring Hungry Jacks this time but she did however want her lar-dee-dar colour of 'avocado' made for her awesome painting she did with Logan. She is a crack up, she makes me laugh so much!

I cooked beef fajita's for everyone and they were so yummy, we had softdrinks and lots of biscuits and cakes etc. Man, so much food left over to eat! Marlee had a ball being covered in paint. Jorja was such a great help all day for me and everyone, she helped me clean the house even before everyone came over, it was so great! Marlee got so pumped to do them too which was great, I still think I was more excited then her though with painting hehe...

It was so hilarious watching the kids get cleaned in the back yard under the hose (Lachy even fell asleep with paint all over himself in his pram). The bubba's all looked so darn cute!

Definitely a great day! We will definitely do it again soon.

Marlee swims in the lagoon

Well yesterday was a blast! My sister Jorja and I took Marlee for a swim at the Redcliffe Lagoon which was soooo much fun! We swimmed for a fair while too and Marlee didn't even crack it! We even dunked her in the water. She is a ball of laughs now. She copies some things you do to show her. For example slapping the water to make splashes, blowing raspberries (it was the funniest thing her learning this off Chewy last night, we were in stitches of laughter!). Man it was the BEST DAY YET I reckon, apart from when she was born :)

Well I am off as I have lots of things to do before we get outta the house today to do lots of jobs. I am going to buy the paint today for the mums and bubs art day I am organising for next week which will be loads of fun I am sure.

Oh and yesterday Aunty Charlie painted Marlee Moo's toes, it was the cutest thing to see , I have added a pic to show them off, haha... Chewy actually thought they looked cute, I didn't think he would like them actually and he did!
